My annual update - wouldn't want to overdo it ;-) - for 2008 is late, just past Easter. This has been a very tough winter, with first Mom, then Dad, hospitalized. But both are now home and getting stronger: so resilient! I feel like I'm home from a war, after these months of care. Relief and exhaustion. I'll be trying now to catch up with all the friends who haven't been hearing from me.

February 21, Mom's birthday, celebrated at Atlantic Healthcare with Dad
February 2008: Mom's birthday this year had to be a traveling affair so we could be with Dad; his rehab had a little private dining room we used twice a week, when I packed up dinner (and cocktails!) to go there.
